Mary is back in action, though still a bit foggy from her encounter with illness. Welcome back, Mary!
As we jump into January, with visions of the great year to come, we want to remind all of you that without YOUR membership we cannot hope to accomplish any of our lofty goals. Our ambition must be matched by your contribution and vice-versa. We are very excited about 2008 and hope to be able to count you as a member during this exciting time.
We will be mailing our membership renewal letters within the next few weeks. Please fill out the provided form, enclose a check made out to Cascade Harvest Coalition and send it in to our HQ:
Cascade Harvest Coalition
4649 Sunnyside Ave. N. Room 123
Seattle, WA 98103
Also, our website redesign continues to move forward...soon we will be able to accept membership fees and donations via a Paypal account on our website: cascadeharvest.org.

First post...welcome to the CHC blog!
Happy New Year!
Approx. how many times have you heard that phrase this week? At least it's well-meaning if not always sincere.
This is certainly shaping up to be a great year for our organization: we have new blood (shameless self-promotion), new ideas and strategies and a new mission statement! From the macro to the micro, CHC is looking forward to becoming the informational resource for farmers and interested consumers in the Puger Sound region.
A quick progress report:
1.) We have started the re-design process for both the CHC website (www.cascadeharvest.org) and the Puget Sound Fresh (www.pugetsoundfresh.org) website...keep checking in over the next few months for bright new changes
2.) The first Farm-to-Table Workshop is on January 14th at the Heritage Hall at the Thurston County Fairgrounds. I strongly encourage anyone in Thurston, Pierce, Lewis, Mason and Gray's Harbor counties to attend. The best business is local business...connect with local producers and buyers and strengthen our community!
Okay, that's all for now. Check back soon for an event schedule for 2008.
